About Us

Our Story

TexasAbility was started in 2003 by Anne J. Mullins, AIA, RAS. Ms Mullins has over 30 years in the field of Architecture and in the elimination of architectural barriers. Ms Mullins served on the State of Texas Elimination of Architectural Barriers Advisory Committee from 1992 to 1996. In November of 2006, A. Martin Mullins, III, LC, MIES, RAS, LEED AP, RCI joined TexasAbility full time after 35 years in the MEP Engineering industry.

TexasAbility provides plan review and inspection services for compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards as well as design consultation, USDA accessibility assessments, existing facility accessibility assessments and accessibility training. TexasAbility has locations in Gun Barrel City and Fort Worth, and serves clients throughout North, Central and East Texas.

 

TexasAbility’s clients include Cities, Counties, Building Owners, Developers, Architects, Engineers, Contractors and other Registered Accessibility Specialist firms. Our projects range from residential to retail to educational, food service to medical to municipal. TexasAbility prides itself on repeat business and referrals from its clients. TexasAbility is a Woman Owned Business and carries HUB, and NCTRCA certifications.

TexasAbility’s personnel are licensed as Registered Accessibility Specialists by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, members of the Accessibility Professionals Association and also hold other construction industry licenses and certifications.
